Japan’s car sale report (Exclude Kei-car) by top models in March 2012

March is the most selling month of cars in Japan.In average, every march will witness about 100% much volume than normal month.At March 2012,there’re 497,959 registrations (Exclude Kei cars).SuzukiFan can say that up from average 250,000 unit in January and february of the same year.We don’t know why Japanese prefer to by car in March,but SuzukiFan thinks because it is the final month of Japan’s business year.

Toyota Prius sold 45,496 unit this month and claim the top spot.Fallow by Honda Fit or Jazz in an international countries.#3 is agian conquer by Toyota with the Toyota Aqua,A b-segment hatchback with petrol/electric system,.The chart told that the Japanese is going crazy with the petrol/electric car as the fuel economy is strong factor to consider when they buy a car.

There’re 2 Suzukis in the chart which Suzuki Swift is replace Suzuki Solio at top selling car of Suzuki’s this month.Notable data is Nissan Juke at 6,889 unit and Subaru Impreza at 7,512 unit.

SuzukiFan don’t know why the Daihatsu Mira that have been sold since 2006 was dramatically have lift up sale in near the end of service life.It sold 22,023 unit in february 2012 which was 225% better when compare in the same month last year.No information from Japan but we expect it get heavily discount and incentive before it get the model change.It also kick Suzuki WagonR which was the best selling kei car in Japan from about past 10 year to number 2 spot with 16,861unit sold.Good news for Suzuki is the model that arrived since late 2008 have 17% up when compare to same month last year.

Recently arrived Honda NBOX is rank #3 with 15,322 unit sold.This was just second month of selling.The NBOX was sold more than everyone expect and it actually turn new fortune to Honda as the maker not success in Kei car category for long time.

Notable information is the Nissan Moco which were develope and produce by Suzuki, can sell at 7,164 unit compare to 2702 unit of sister model that get Suzuki’s badge.We don’t think Nissan have 3 time more reputable than Suzuki in Kei car category but the Moco is a lot more beautiful than the Suzuki’s sister model’s version .And SuzukiFan don’t know why Suzuki design car for the alliance better than design for them self.

Toyota still lead Japan car sale in November 2011 as the Prius family rank at top of the chart with 33,197 find buyer.This report include 10,268 unit of Prius alpha or 5 seat MPV version of Prius.Honda Fit or Jazz is rank two with not far behide Prius at 27,980 unit sold along with hybrid model and wagon version call Fit shuttle (3,317 sold).The Vitz or Yaris come 3rd with 10,860 unit sold.

While Nissan is king of SUV/crossover as Juke can find 4,827 owners and X-TRAIL with 2,826 owners.Considering that Juke have 1765 MM wide means that maximun of tax payment to pay every year but it really good as it able to sell at this number.So,we just wait for new SX4 to give more competition to that car.

Suzuki is other player at this category as the Solio and Swift can sold 3,454 unit and 3,133 unit respectively.

Germany is one of the biggest car market in Europe which means that if the maker can penetrate this country,The maker will do well in European’s car sale chart.This month car sale are up 4% in November 2011 to 269,144 unit and all year in 2011 is up 9 percent to 2,929,133 units.What a surprise figure for us as we seen in many media that European economic is not so healthy.Obviously,from this data,Germany is on road of recovering car sale.

Germany car sale is dominant by local manufacturer and top 5 best-selling models are unchanged on last month.Top spot is VW Golf families which include Golf Plus and Jetta at 241,716 in first 11 month,followed by the VW Passat 96,309,Mercedes C Class 73,491,VW Polo 85,228,Opel Astra 79,725.

For The Suzukis,Suzuki Swift lead with 9,560 sold followed by Suzuki SX4 at 6,749,Suzuki Grand Vitara 4,259 , Suzuki Jimny 3,669 ,Suzuki Alto 3,469, Suzuki Splash 2,640, Suzuki Kizashi 726 unit.

Volkswagen is dominate nameplate in China for first eight month of 2011.Again in August 2011 they sold 126310 unit a claim a top spot in China.Fallow by recenty recover from Japanese earthquake,Toyota in seconde place with 59177 unti sold.Come third is Nissan with 54585 which driven by recenty launched Sunny and Tillda hatchback.fallow by Buick and Chevrolet.

Honda seem get off from the unfortunate event too with 28305 unit sold.Suzuki doing well with 19056 unit altrough shortage of real compact car.Ford is manage to ahead of Suzuki because they have more wide range of produce than Suzuki.French Auto makers is doing well as Citroen and Peugeot are in 15th and 16th respectively.

The small car sale in Japan of July 2011 is reveal a decrease of 28% and a total of 131,586 units sold when compare to same month last year.Suzuki Fan see 4 Suzukis in top 10 chart. and also see other 2 of Suzuki produce car in the top ten.Top spot is Suzuki WagonR at 16,039 unit. Suzuki Japan will export more SUV and add second shift to Iwata plant

Nikkei Business Daily reported Suzuki Motor Will Increase production of Sport utility vehicles at its Iwata plant in Shizuoka by Adding a Second shift to Meet Demand rising export. SuzukiFan surprise about the news because demand for SUV (Grand Vitara,Jimny) is slow dua to increase from competitor, Especially in Europe.

The source say that the facility currently produces about 350,000 vehicles a year out of two production lines and the changes will increase the capacity and productivity of the line to about 10,000 units per month.With help from developing countries and regions including the Russia and Middle East demand has been strong.

The company’s overall production volume is expected to top the year-ago levels on a monthly basis starting this month, Nikkei added.

India car sale report by makers in March 2011

The Indian automobile industry Friday reported increase in sale in March 2011.with sales of ten leading makers increasing by 25.14 % to 226,161 units, compared with 180,724 units in March last year.

Maruti Suzuki saw at 1104,24 units, a rise of 38.8 %, compared with the 79,530 units sold during march last year.total sales(include export) at 121,952 units during March 2011 compare to 95,123 units during the same period of 2010.

Hyundai Motor sold 31,822 cars in March, up just 1% from march 2010 and company’s exports rose 0.9 per cent to 23,730 units. suzukifan thinks that Hyundai sale should is not good because they reported just small in crease but Arvind Saxena, director (marketing and sales), HMIL, said, although the rate of growth has slowed down. In the second half of the year, we expect HMIL sales to grow at a faster pace.”

Tata Motor declined to 29,543 units,1 % decrease from 29,543 at same period last year.Reported drop of about 40% in sales of small car, Indica sale just 6,937 units this month.Nano sales still strong at 8,707 units.

The worse performing of the month is Honda Siel sales dropped by around 39.7% to 3,576 units from 5,928 units from same period last year . Sales of Jazz reached an all-time low at 152 units.

Ford Motor Company sold 10,485 units in March, up 10.62% from 9,478 units sold same period last year.Volkswagen jump from 987 units to 8,095 units a 720.2% increase from march 2010.Toyota at 9,726units up from 6,911 units.Nissan 2,101 units from 89 units same month last year.

India car sales report in February 2011

The country’s largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki India reported a 15.51 per cent jump in sales during February, 2011, to 1,11,645 units.Sales in the same month last year stood at 96,650 units, Maruti Suzuki India said in a statement.

The national capital-based company also reported a 19.79 per cent increase in domestic sales during February to 1,01,543 units from 84,765 units in February, 2010.Meanwhile, the company’s exports fell by 15 percent to 10,102 units from 11,885 units in the like period of last year.

Segment-wise, the company reported a growth of 19.4 percent for its compact car segment A2 at 72,090 units. Cars in this category include Alto, Wagon-R, Zen, Swift, Ritz and A-Star.

Tata Motors Ltd., reported February total sales, including exports, of 77,543 units, up by 12 per cent from 69,427 units sold in last February.Domestic sales of commercial vehicles were 41,130 units, a growth of five per cent, compared with the 39,205 units sold in February last year.Sales of passenger vehicles, including distribution, in the domestic market were 31,909 units compared to the 26,985 vehicles sold last year, an 18 per cent growth.

Sales of the company’s compact small car, the Nano, stood at 8,262 units during the month, a 101 per cent increase vis-a-vis the corresponding period of the preceding year.Export sales last month totaled 4,504 vehicles, grew by 39 per cent from the 3,237 units in February 2010.

Hyundai Motor India, however saw its domestic sales grow only 5.25 per cent at 32,629 units. The company’s total sales fell by 4.77 per cent in the last month though not quite as sharply as it exports, which were down by 17.92 per cent.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s domestic sales rose 20.27 per cent at 31,967 units as against 26,580 units in the year-ago period.

Ford India said sales nearly tripled last month, led by the Figo model, selling 9,292 vehicles compared with 3,223 in February 2010 — a rise of 188 percent.

Nissan Motor India Pvt. sold 2,081 units, up from 44 units a year earlier.
