Next generation 2013 Suzuki Palette will have super fuel economy as good as 28 liter/km.

Suzuki Palette is now in first generation,arrive since february 2008,is Suzuki answer to Daihatsu best selling kei’s car for past many year.First generation’s Daihatsu Tanto was arrive in 2003 and 2nd generation arrived sinced december 2007.The car is a low floor high roof with boxy styling and rear sliding doors.The Tanto also ahead of the palette because it don’t have middle pillar.

In 2011,Daihatsu dispatched 129,118 unit of Tanto to customer.While Suzuki can sold 54,825 unit of Palette and they also produce 49,548 unit of Palette that rebadge as Nissan Roox.The Daihatsu Tanto sale is ahead of Suzuki because they divide in to sub-brand like Tanto Exe which acctually all new car with new interior and exterior styling but share Tanto’s name and sale data’s report at Tanto’s figure.

The new Tanto will arrive in december 2012 and the 2nd generation of Palette will arrive in 2013.Some source is say that new Palette will arrive in early 2013 but some report around september to December 2013 which very close to the launch date of next generation Suzuki WagonR which will arrive in september 2013.So,The launch date of Palette may move ahead because of to make it not be accurate with the new WagonR.

The new Palette will have lighter weight and ultra-low fuel consumption R06A engine. JC08 mode fuel efficiency of the current palette is 20.8km / L but the new model is expected to be around 28km / L dua to use of new engine and more light weight plaform.

The car also report to significantly improve performance and better styling.

Japan’s kei car sale report by model in February 2012

SuzukiFan don’t know why the Daihatsu Mira that have been sold since 2006 was dramatically have lift up sale in near the end of service life.It sold 22,023 unit in february 2012 which was 225% better when compare in the same month last year.No information from Japan but we expect it get heavily discount and incentive before it get the model change.It also kick Suzuki WagonR which was the best selling kei car in Japan from about past 10 year to number 2 spot with 16,861unit sold.Good news for Suzuki is the model that arrived since late 2008 have 17% up when compare to same month last year.

Recently arrived Honda NBOX is rank #3 with 15,322 unit sold.This was just second month of selling.The NBOX was sold more than everyone expect and it actually turn new fortune to Honda as the maker not success in Kei car category for long time.

Notable information is the Nissan Moco which were develope and produce by Suzuki, can sell at 7,164 unit compare to 2702 unit of sister model that get Suzuki’s badge.We don’t think Nissan have 3 time more reputable than Suzuki in Kei car category but the Moco is a lot more beautiful than the Suzuki’s sister model’s version .And SuzukiFan don’t know why Suzuki design car for the alliance better than design for them self.

India car market is now one of the fastest growth in the world.Every top maker is coming to India and take a share of around 2 million (and expending) automotive market.’Maruti Suzuki,the local arms of Suzuki motor Japan now is sell one of every two car in India in plans around 20 new model by 2016 in order to retain leadership.

I V Rao, chief executive, research and development said that Maruti Suzuki used to entire rely on Suzuki Motors, Japan for technology and products. However with an R&D base being established at Rohtak by 2014, the company can rely on its engineers in India to spin off some facelifts. Thus Maruti Suzuki will invest Rs. 1500 crore on product development till 2016.

Maruti will concentrate on low-cost vehicles and is expected to launch 70-80% of its new vehicles in the small car segment, including facelifts and variants,Here is Speculation

Most among it position as “lowcost” nameplate target value for money customer.ETC Kaili from FAW-Volkswagen,Linian (Everus) from GAC-Honda, Qichen (Venucia) from Dongfeng-Nissan and Baojun from Saic /GM.

Although Suzuki,consider as smaller makers than above mention,decide to joint the bandwagon too.The smallcar specialist will use the current joint venture of Changhe-Suzuki to set up new brand.Until now no one outside them able to name it yet but some website call it a “North word mark.” and report Some interpret it as a representation of two “Cs” and a “H,” thus the name of “Chang-He/Changhe.”. You will see a new logo at the grille of the car and at the back of the car apart from Suzuki name at the rear.Inside,you will see the Suzuki’s logo at steering wheel.

When Maruti Suzuki launched the all new WagonR in India last year,so sad that the car only aviable with Petrol engine.While DUO version (LPG – Petrol) have to wait.Now new Wagon RDUO website is arrive and the car should hit dealer soon.

All New WagonR Duo comes with a host of new technologies to incorporate the dual fuel option will also feature two ECUs, one each for each fuel option of petrol and LPG, that will work in tandem via a Controller Area Network(CAN) system to effortlessly toggle between the two fuels through a dashboard mounted switch,safety module which cuts fuel supply in case of a leak or an accident.

At the back spare tire will be remove in order to store LPG and the spare tire will be fit behide rear seat.

Maruti WagonR DUO delivers ARAI certified 14.4 KMPL on LPG and 18.4 KMPL on petrol known to be the highest in the segment.

Suzuki Indonesia may introduce cars this year

PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) will introduce new car to Indonesia during the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in July this year.

The company registered the car including Alto K 10, Wagon R and A-Star, at the Ministry of Industry on Thursday, kompas.com reported.

All of them have 998cc, 3-cylinder engines with 66-68 HP and 90Nm torque at 3,000 rpm even though they have different specifications. For example, the Wagon R has an automatic transmission.

All of the models would be imported from India, already fully manufactured, but there has yet to be any information on whether all of them would be marketed in Indonesia .

Suzuki to introduce more fuel-efficient engine for its minicars in Japan

According to Nikkei, Suzuki Motor Corp. plans to introduce an all-new engine for its minicars (Kei-car) for the first time in roughly 16 years. This 660cc engine is expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of 27 km/L (63.5 mpg US, 3.7 L/100km) when combined with an idle-stop system—an improvement of about 20% over the current offering.

This would enable Suzuki minicars to achieve a fuel economy comparable to 27 km/L that offered by Daihatsu Motor Co.’s new Move, which hit the market last month and Daihatsu told us that move is best fuel effiency car in Japan (except hybrid car).

Suzuki plans to invest a total of 20 billion yen [US$246 million] over three years to retool its Sagara factory in Shizuoka Prefecture to make the new engine.
All future versions of the company’s minicars (total 9 car), including the Wagon R and the Alto, will eventually be powered by the engine. The first to feature it will be the new MR Wagon, slated for launch this month.

Skoda mulls tie-up with Maruti for small car

It’s action time at SkodaAuto India. After Volkswagen, another group company SkodaAuto India is looking at the possibility of collaborating with Maruti Suzuki to launch a small car below its newly-launched new generation Fabia by 2012. A senior official of the company on Thursday said in Chennai that SkodaAuto India is open to such pacts and Volkswagen, Maruti Suzuki and Skoda will mull a tie up on the issue. The official also said that the company is gearing up to launch a new car in the C segment, replacing Octavia (which was phased out recently) during the second half of 2011. It is also set to launch the SUV Skoda Yeti in November and has set a target of 7% to 10% share in the B+ segment by 2011 as against 3% now.

Responding to a volley of questions at a press conference here on Thursday, Thomas Kuehl, board member and director (sales & marketing), SkodaAuto India, said, “We plan to launch a small car below Fabia (a hatchback) in India by 2012 (suzuki fan expect a Skoda version of Suzuki WagonR) . We are working at the global level as India throws huge opportunity in this segment.”

Maruti Suzuki Launched five new models with CNG option

As it battles rising competition, Maruti Suzuki drove in five new models with CNG option, including its best-seller Alto. The company will offer factory-fitted CNG cars, and the models are priced at a premium of about Rs 50,000 to the petrol-only version. Maruti’s market share slipped below 50% after the launch of compacts from Ford, Volkswagen and GM.

Apart from the Alto LXi (Rs 3.23 lakh), other models to sport CNG option are Estilo LXi (Rs 4.05 lakh) and WagonR LXi (Rs 4.11 lakh), Eeco 5-seater multipurpose (Rs 3.64 lakh) and SX4 VXi sedan (Rs 7.47 lakh).

The CNG variants are priced approximately Rs 50,000 to Rs 90,000 more than their non CNG versions, but it is the first time that the kits are being fitted at the factory. The advantages of a factory fitment are they are safer, covered under warranty and suffer minimal power loss.

“CNG offers lower running cost of up to 60 per cent while it ensures lower import of oil and also lower emission levels,” said Shinzo Nakanishi, managing director and CEO, MSIL.

Maruti Suzuki has unveiled its flagship CNG engine technology dubbed ‘intelligent-Gas Port Injection’ technology’ or i-GPI. This technology will be implemented on five models.

The technology is a dual engine control unit that delivers gas to the engine to ensure improved and consistent performance under a variety of driving conditions. The quantity of compressed natural gas required for different driving conditions is controlled by the dedicated unit which offers more efficient fuel usage.

It also means there is more power when compared to retrofitted compressed natural gas vehicles and there is a peppier ride more reminiscent of a petrol engine.
Each vehicle has passed quality checks and customers will enjoy the full warranty benefits, including an extended warranty.
The Government of India has committed to developing a network of compressed natural gas stations across the country in an effort to reduce the reliance on foreign fossil fuels.

Currently there are 9.4 lakh CNG cars in the country with around 600 outlets, where as other countries such as Pakistan has over 3,000 filling stations and around 50 per cent of all vehicles are run on CNG.
