In every motorshow around the world from last year until the latest at currently going 2012 Auto China.Suzuki display a Swift EV-electric vehicle concept which not confidential that the production of that concept will arrive in 2013.Actually,the source from Japan say that the car will arrive at the earliest at March 2013.

The car is based on the Swift but it will install with the new power supply .A petrol-electric motor pair with very high performance lithium ion battery that Suzuki develop with Sanyo.It now, unconfirm about engine displacement but the source expect 660 cc or 1.2 liter petrol.the source say that if the car get just 660 cc petrol engine,customer will not worry about the power because the electric motors is very stroung and can generate maximum output from any speed,especially at low speed,So,don’t worry about the output performance would be less.

The lithium ion battery is very capable as it can run about 20-30km with the single charging.Charging time is four hours in power 110V, an hour and a half has become a dedicated 220V power supply.while fuel consumption of the generator is driven by a gasoline engine is excellent and the 28km / L in Japan’s JC08 mode.

But SuzukiFan consider as above mention system is very advance,It could aviable only inJapan but others countries may get a less performance electric and batterry system which more affordable like Toyota did with the prius v that have different specification depend on region and prices they offer.

Suzuki display the concept in nearly every counties auto show since last year make us predict that the car will be offer in nearly every markets around the world.

This not the first time that Suzuki attemp to petrol-electric motor vehicle as in 2003-2005,Suzuki sold the Suzuki Twin.But they not success about the sale volume dua to limit just 2 seat and the petrol-electric is not popular that time.

Suzuki also plans electric version of SX4 around 2015.

Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile Co., Ltd, A joint venture production and sales of Suzuki’s automobiles in China (Investment ratio; Suzuki Motor Corporation 25%, 10% Suzuki China Investment Co., Ltd., 14% Sojitz Corporation, 51% Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd) open a groundbreaking ceremony of new passenger car plant in Chongqing ,China.The 2nd factory of Changan Suzuki located in Tomoe Chongqing or located in the existing first Changan Suzuki’s plant.

The new plant will start production at december 2013 with 150,000 units per year and will increase to 250,000 unit a year by 2015.While the first plant can produce 250,000 a year is runing in nearly full production in 2011 with 209,692 units produced.

The Changan Suzuki establish in May 25, 1993 and start production at May 1995.Now, it got 4,343 Employee and procduce Alto,Cultus (Antelope),Swift and SX4

Next generation Fiat Sedici will not rebadge the Suzuki SX4

Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera report that Fiat and Chrysler claim that the alliance’s small crossover will be delay about a year.As they plans 2 new small which one of it will replace Suzuki’s design and build SX4 that got rebadge as sell as Fiat Sedici. According to the news both car will be built on the same platform.The production of Fiat will start in December of 2013 and Jeep will start in the middle/late of 2014(delay from mid 2013).

The Turin group will soon launch a successor for the Sedici (Means sixteen or 4×4 in Italian) to replace the crossover that currently built by the Suzuki in Hungary (It is a twin of the SX4 ) and close to retirement. As it launch since 2006 and was big minor change in 2009.The model change of SX4 is claim in late 2012 or early 2013.

Fiat has already announced that the planned investment of one billion euros to bring the plant in Turin for the production of the two cars.After expansion, the Mirafiori plant will have capacity to deliver 280,000 units / year of the jeep version.The launch of Jeep’s compact crossover is scheduled for mid-2014 in Europe. In the following months, the model will reaches the United States and other markets

The Fiat is to launch a replacement for Sedici because the Sedici is near at the end of life and their model sales are falling. According to the JATO Dynamics,In 2011 Fiat Sedici has sold 14,800 units in Europe, with 10% less than in the previous year.

Around late 2007/ early 2008 Suzuki debuted the SX4 both sedan and hatchback in China .The car have been produce by local joint venture Changan Suzuki.The 2012 SX4 hatchback is get more off road and more elegance look which give more sense of rugged and more SUV’s alike.The entire front face is considerable change, Three thick plastic bar grille have replaced by three bar and square chrome that give more Luxurious.The bolder front bumper with big speace to wear licen plate that look like come from sibling Fiat Sedici.The big black plastic mold in around the body including at the wheel arch.

India car market is now one of the fastest growth in the world.Every top maker is coming to India and take a share of around 2 million (and expending) automotive market.’Maruti Suzuki,the local arms of Suzuki motor Japan now is sell one of every two car in India in plans around 20 new model by 2016 in order to retain leadership.

I V Rao, chief executive, research and development said that Maruti Suzuki used to entire rely on Suzuki Motors, Japan for technology and products. However with an R&D base being established at Rohtak by 2014, the company can rely on its engineers in India to spin off some facelifts. American Suzuki’s U.S. product plans are unsettled as the Japanese parent company focuses increasingly on emerging markets.

Suzuki Motor Corp. is targeting markets such as India, where it has a strong presence. In addition, the soaring value of the yen against the dollar has put more financial strain on the company’s U.S. operations.

Meanwhile, Suzuki’s alliance with Volkswagen AG has yet to deliver any shared vehicle projects since the deal was signed in early 2010. Tensions between the companies’ leaders have made headlines in recent months, and the partnership appears to be fraying.

In the United States, the Grand Vitara gets a slight rear-end change next year and updates in 2013, and the SX4 lineup gets updated for the 2013 model year, but no Suzuki model will be redesigned or significantly restyled until 2014 at the earliest.

Swift: The subcompact was supposed to be on sale in the United States by now, but the strong yen forced Suzuki to put that plan on hold last year. Chances are slim that the Swift will arrive stateside anytime soon.

SX4: A slightly restyled 2013 version of the crossover is scheduled to go on sale in late 2012. For the 2012 model year, Suzuki eliminated three trim levels of the four-door SX4 and one trim level of the SX4 SportBack.

Kizashi: The mid-sized sedan debuted in late 2009 as a 2010 model. Assuming a five-year product life cycle, the Kizashi would be due for a midcycle freshening in the 2013 model year and a redesign in the 2015 model year.

Suzuki is gathering fuel economy and emissions data from a fleet of about 10 Kizashi mild hybrid prototypes being tested in North America. The company also is working on a turbocharged Kizashi, according to one source. Both cars were shown as concepts at the 2011 New York auto show. Neither vehicle has been approved for production.

A sport wagon configuration also is under consideration, but production depends on whether Suzuki’s European unit agrees to sell the car.

Grand Vitara: Next spring, the 2012 SUV’s rear end will get new sheet metal and the rear liftgate will be reconfigured as the spare tire is removed from the rear door. About a year later, the 2013 model’s hood, front fenders and fascia will get updates, according to sources.

Equator: The pickup is a rebadged Nissan Frontier. The truck’s future hinges on whether the product-sharing deal with Nissan continues.

In 2008,Suzukifan have bee report that the Swift will launch in USA with multiple body style.We used to predict not only a hatchback Swift but also a MPV version of the Swift.But the economic crisis in 2009 made Suzuki decide that only Swift hactback will arrive USA in 2011 and later with currency problem made Swift launch delay to 2012.So sad, the latest news above say that its may have more delay.

The SX4 is dua to get replacement in Europe in late 2012 but the above report is conflict in it self when they say in above line that no redesign Suzuki until 2014 but the below line say about new restyled 2013 version.The Grand Vitara will get minorchange before get the all new in 2014 but inEurope may be early than that.

They are talk about Wagon version of Kizashi too that you can see.But what about real compact car for Suzuki?

Suzuki new engine plant in Indonesia will open by march 2012

According to the Nikkei,The new facility will be constructed at its existing production base in West Java, with the capacity to turn out 100,000 engines a year. Now the company already makes 50,000 engines a year in Indonesia, but imports the rest from Japan. The new factory will help boost local procurement, improve efficiency and lower costs.

The plant would possibly develop low-cost cars, as the country’s government has encouraged. Suzuki also intends to add more local content to its cars and two-wheelers,.The new investments would enable the plant to double the firm’s annual production capacity of cars too.Darmadi, the ministry’s director general of high-technology-based priority industry, said the investments would also be allocated to the manufacturing of engines and developing new car prototypes and designs. He claimed Suzuki would start construction of its new plant and upgrade its production capacity next year.

“The construction work will take around one year, while the expansion will be completed in around eight months,” Jakarta Post reports Sindhuwinata as saying.

In 2010 total 75,000 of SX4,Swift,Carry,Grand Vitara was produce from the plant while some 765,000 new vehicles sold there last year in Indonesia, up 60% from 2009. but total of every nameplate Suzuki produces is between 120,000 and 140,000 cars and 1.2 million motorcycles in Indonesia

The forecast put forward by the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) suggests that car sales in the country may increase by 11.5% year-on-year to 830,000 cars in 2011.

The Italian have report that Suzuki boss ( Osamu Suzuki) and Fiat boss (Sergio Marchionne ) held a secret meeting at the launch event of new Lancia Ypsilon.Amid rumour that Suzuki not too much happy about relation with Volkswagen.VW is label Suzuki as a “low cost” partner which Suzuki doesn’t like.

Automotive News is able to reveal the issues tackled by the two bosses;Suzuki would offer to build the Fiat Sedici replacement in 2013.Although Fiat should be replaced in 2013 by a new SUV with the Jeep, code-named B-Jeep but According to insiders, Fiat has not yet taken the final decision on this model and there would be room to continue the collaboration with Suzuki to supply new Sedici from Suzuki plant in Hungary.

Currently, the Italian car maker has a contract with Suzuki for the purchase of 20,000 unit of Sedici a year. In 2007, sales of the car in Europe have reached 31,855 units but then Sedici began to decline up to 16,505 unit last year, Where the Suzuki SX4 sales have reached 50,354 in 2008 and decreased to 37,517 units last year.

According to reports, the Suzuki was also asked to double to 400,000 units per year production of 1.3 Multijet turbodiesel but fiat offer to build the additional amount in the manufacture of Indian made at Ranjangaon joint venture between Tata.It would also spoke of the possibility of providing automatic gearbox developed by Magneti Marelli and made in India to equip with Suzuki-Fiat diesel engine.

Suzuki have been lanuched Kizashi in Japan and extended it to the USA, Australia and more recently parts of Europe.
Next stop is Britain and while this well-appointed model is deemed by Suzuki to be a niche product – they hope to sell around 500 – potential buyers can rest assured they will be getting a car of genuine quality and style.

Tested and tuned in areas as diverse as Death Valley and English country lanes with the precision of BMW and Audi as the benchmark, the Kizashi will only be available in a single specification with a 178PS 2.4-litre petrol engine under the bonnet.

Nor will there be any manual gearbox as the company has decided to go with an automatic CVT continuously variable transmission set-up with steering wheel-mounted paddles for manual shifts.

Suzuki is claiming an average fuel figure of 35 miles per gallon and 191g/km of CO2 for an offering that is predictably well specced up – the likes of leather upholstery, electric heated front seats, cruise control, sunroof, keyless entry, air-con, CD player and seven airbags included on every car.

The left-hand drive model available for evaluation confirmed that Kizashi is a car with the dynamic qualities and punch – 0-62 in 7.8 seconds – to match its sporty looks.

Suzuki is also considering bringing a 4×4 version of the popular Swift hatchback to Britain, a prospect sparked by increasingly bad weather over the past few winters.

The company feels that if it gets the green light this version of the Swift – already on sale in Scandinavia and Germany – will be ideal for people who don’t want a full-blown 4×4 but do fancy its capability.

Unlike the Kizashi’s i-AWD system, the Swift has permanent four-wheel drive and if it comes to Britain, expect there to be a few styling tweaks.

In updating its entire range, Suzuki has either refreshed or improved the economy of the Splash mini-MPV, SX4 crossover, Jimny 4×4 and larger Grand Vitara models.

Most notable is the funky little Splash which gets the same 92bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine that was introduced into the Swift range last September. It’s noticeably quiet at tickover, provides useful performance and can return 55.4mpg with emissions of 119g/km, the same as the 1.0-litre init.

The SX4 now has a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre DDiS diesel engine offering improved performance, better fuel economy and prices for the SZ3 1.6-litre petrol version.

And both the chunky Jimny with its cult following and the Grand Vitara now come with Euro 5 compliant engines plus reduced CO2 levels.

Suzuki has also dispensed with the rear-mounted spare wheel on the Grand Vitara, though the company is considering introducing a lower spec model for people who still want that time-honoured feature.

The Super Turbo DDiS engine mounted on the SX4, delivers 90PS of peak power at 4000rpm.
