Suzuki is fourth largest car maker in May 2010 in Japan
In Japan, last month sold 300,760 new cars, or 23 percent more than in May 2009. The annual total now stands at 2,207,998 copies, and that 22.3 percent up from same month last year . Toyota went into the lead with 104 298 sales in May. This was followed by Honda (40 810), Nissan (38,067), Suzuki (36 357), Daihatsu (33 905), Mazda (15 364), Mitsubishi (8346), Subaru (7936) and Lexus (1889). Leading to the import brands, Volkswagen was selling in 3634. Then come BMW (2599), Mercedes-Benz (2061), Audi (1331) and Mini (1003). For all other brands, there were fewer than 1,000 customers.
