Maruti To Add 200 Dealers To Its Network

Maruti Suzuki India is the largest auto manfacturer having more than 800 showrooms and service centers which covers a massive 500 plus cities across the country. The company’s Chief General Manager Mr. Shashank Srivastava informed that Maruti’s intention is to take this number upto 1,000 in this fiscal year.
The company is also betting big on the rural market. “Last year, we did very good sales in rural areas, where the growth was very, very good. Nearly 17 per cent of our sales were in the rural segment against nine per cent in the previous year (2008-09),” Srivastava told PTI.
It is not just the dealer’s base; Maruti is also adding new models to its existing family. Recently Suzuki Swift the next generation car was revealed in Hungary. The new Swift will feature 1.2l KB series Engine and will be 90mm longer than the current swift.

The new Swift, according to Maruti is a replacement of the current model and will be in India by 2011.
