Japan report sell of 660cc minivehicles in December 2009

Japanese sales of 660cc minivehicles
in December fell 0.5 percent from a year earlier to 122,134
units, the Japan Mini Vehicle Association said on Tuesday.
TOTAL 122,134 (-0.5)
Cars 91,198 (-2.7)
Commercial vehicles 30,936 (+6.6)
A breakdown of the sales data by company was as follows.
Suzuki Motor (7269.T) 38,273 (-2.3)
Daihatsu Motor (7262.T) 38,878 (-1.2)
Honda Motor (7267.T) 15,462 (-15.3)
M’bishi Motors (7211.T) 7,009 (-5.2)
Fuji Heavy (7270.T) 7,573 (+4.6)
*Nissan Motor (7201.T) 11,868 (+47.6)
*Mazda Motor (7261.T) 3,063 (-7.5)
*Mazda sells Suzuki-made minivehicles under its own nameplate.
Nissan sells minicars made by Suzuki and and Mitsubishi Motors.
Minivehicles receive preferential tax treatment.
